Dear John,

You came into my life and made it worth living. You put a smile on my face at a time in my life when all I could see was darkness. For the past two years, you have become my friend and confidant – you have treated me like the queen you saw me to be. You have given me a confidence I never thought I would have.

For the reasons above, I find it very difficult to do this and more so, to do this using a letter. I have never been good at expressing my feelings in person, so the easiest way to do this without causing any more hurt is to write this letter.
